Editorial Standards
Accuracy
Every article published on The News Nerds Love is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Our editors check for:
- Factual accuracy of claims, dates, names, and numbers
- Proper attribution of quotes and statements to real individuals
- Absence of fabricated quotes, statistics, or sources
- Logical consistency and coherent argumentation
Sources
Our articles are informed by content from established, credible news sources across our coverage areas. We prioritize primary sources (official announcements, peer-reviewed research, government publications) over secondary reporting when available.
We do not fabricate sources. If a claim cannot be attributed to a verifiable source, it is not included.
Corrections
When we identify an error in a published article:
- Minor corrections (typos, formatting, non-material clarifications) are made silently
- Material corrections (factual errors, misattributions, significant omissions) are noted at the bottom of the article with a correction notice and date
- Retractions are issued for articles with fundamental accuracy problems that cannot be corrected

AI Transparency
We are transparent about our use of AI in content creation. See our AI Disclosure page for full details on our editorial process.
Our named authors (Alex Byte, Luna Pixel, Nova Sterling, Cipher Knox) are fictional editorial personas, not real people. This is disclosed on every article and on our About page.
Independence
Our editorial content is independent of any advertising or business relationships. Sponsored content and affiliate links, if present, are always clearly labeled and do not influence our editorial coverage or recommendations.
Conflicts of Interest
If our editorial team has a material connection to a topic being covered (financial interest, personal relationship, etc.), it will be disclosed in the article.
